Community Sector Funding Reform

Skip Navigation LinksThe Funding Reform Introduction to the Funding Reform

All Community Services Organisations
In January 2012, WACOSS was provided with the opportunity and funding to support the community services sector to implement the Delivering Community Services in Partnership (DCSP) Policy.  WACOSS recognised that the sector was in very different stages of the reform, and aimed to be of assistance to organisations large and small, regardless of their level of knowledge around the funding reforms and the DCSP Policy. The support provided to the sector included workshops, one-on-one consultant support, a guide to funding reform and a number of other online resources. A range of valuable resources and tools were developed during the project with easy to understand information and practical tools. Click here to start your journey through our resources.

Community Organisations Delivering Health Services

In 2013 it was recognised that extra support was needed to ensure the DCSP Reforms were being implemented in the Health sector.  WACOSS has secured funding for a Partnership project with WA Health’s Community Services Procurement Directorate.  The three aims of the project are:
• Provide an agreed model of engagement about procurement reform between WA Health and not for profit organisations funded to deliver health services
• Outline strategies/ mechanisms to support relationship building  between WA Health and the not for profit sector, including opportunities for engagement over the next 12 months for information sharing and dissemination as well as network building
• Develop a collaboration between the not for profit sector and WA Health to progress the procurement reforms as they relate to community service organisations with a contractual relationship with WA Health
