Budget Analysis

The State and Federal Budgets have a profound impact on our community, particularly on disadvantaged and vulnerable citizens and the services that support them.

The Western Australian Government’s State Budget drives a key element of WACOSS’ social policy and advocacy work. Our activities have two main focuses:

  • The development of a Pre-Budget Submission on behalf of (and in consultation with) the community services sector; and
  • Analysis of the State Budget immediately following its release, and a subsequent Budget Briefing event for WACOSS members. (This Briefing event is usually held the day after the State Budget is released. Please refer to the events page for more information.)
