Interview with Senator Rachel Siewert
Senator Rachel Siewert is a member of the Australian Greens parliamentary team. Her portfolio responsibilities include Family, Ageing, Community and Disability Services, Marine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Issues, and Agricultural and Rural Affairs.
In addition to her Parliamentary work, Rachel is Chair of the Senate Community Affairs References Committee and is a member of the Joint Committees on Constitutional Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Prior to entering the Senate, Rachel spent sixteen years as the Coordinator of the Conservation Council of Western Australia. Now in her role as a Senator, she continues to have highly productive working relationship with non-government organisations across many sectors throughout Australia, providing a critical link between Parliament and our communities.
