Diploma of Leadership and Management

The Diploma of Leadership and Management course is delivered in partnership with MODAL  over a period of twelve (12) month period. The Diploma course is made up of 12 nationally accredited units delivered over 10 face to face sessions.

The Diploma of Leadership & Management has remained a benchmark for managers and team leaders in the business sector. This program is designed and tailored for those in management and supervisory roles within the community services sector, who wish to further their managerial background with specifically tailored management qualifications.

This program has a significant Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component, which allows participants to draw on their existing management experience and have their competencies recognised formally.

The course has successfully run for 15 programs, training over 250 community service managers. The next program is set to begin in July 2018 – June 2019.

Workload Requirements:

Like any nationally accredited Diploma course, this course requires a significant time commitment.  The following is a general rule of your required time commitment:

  • 10 x full day face-to-face sessions
  • 4-6 hours of work outside of the classroom per unit
  • Workplace project

Costs

The costs per participant are:

  •  $5500.00 GST exclusive for WACOSS members and
  • $6800.00 GST exclusive for non-members.

 

Subsidised Places

Applicants may be eligible for grant funding from Lotterywest or the Australian Scholarships Foundation (ASF) to assist with course fees. Lotterywest offer multiple places based on eligibility criteria. ASF offer 5 places only. Links to the applications will be added soon.
