Community Resource Centres facing funding cuts

Community Resource Centres facing funding cuts
Linkwest, the peak body for Community Resource Centres (CRCs) and Neighbourhood Centres in WA, is calling for a comprehensive review, prior to a forecast budget cut of 40 per cent to the CRC network in 2019/20, dropping funding from $13 million to $8 million. Linkwest is opposed to forecast funding cuts. There is concern with the short period of time left to conduct the review, and in many towns, a concern that the local CRC is the only service available to people where many have no computer, limited internet access, or limited digital literacy.
