Pilbara Manager
WACOSS Staff Agreement Level 5 ($94,201 – $97,970 per annum)
Full time position 38 hours per week, based in Karratha (Co-located with RDA Pilbara)
The Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) is hiring a strong, dynamic, influential leader in the Pilbara to lead and support community service delivery in the region.
The Pilbara Manager will identify and implement new partnership opportunities and innovations in local service provision, and contribute to ensure the needs of the sector and region are known and represented in state and national social policy.
The successful applicant will be a strong and connected operator, committed to addressing the needs of the most vulnerable. Experience working in a community service organisation at senior management level, with an understanding of issues that impact the community service sector and consumers in WA is a must.
The Pilbara Manager is someone who can make a difference in the region and support WACOSS’ advocacy and sector coordination. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong relationships and work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment is imperative.
WACOSS is the peak body of community service organisations and individuals in Western Australia. The organisation stands for an inclusive, just and equitable society, and advocates for social change to improve the wellbeing of West Australians to strengthen the community service sector that supports them. WACOSS’ critical mechanism is to shape and impact decision making, public debate and outcomes in the interests of vulnerable people in WA.
WACOSS is part of the national network, which comprises ACOSS – The Australian Council of Social Service – and a Council in each state and territory.
