Project Officer

Level 3.1 (Salary – $66,185pa plus superannuation) – full-time position (38 hours per week).

The WA Council of Social Service (WACOSS) is a peak body for the not-for-profit community sector in Western Australia. WACOSS provides independent and informed policy advice, and plays a key coordination and leadership role for the sector. We work on behalf of disadvantaged people and communities towards achieving social justice in WA.

WACOSS is a small but dynamic organisation whose impact and output far exceeds its size.  We are proud to have nearly 300 members, both organisations and individuals, and together are committed to doing all we can to achieve our vision of an inclusive, just and equitable society for all Western Australians.

The key purpose of the Project Officer’s role is to manage the organisation’s community service platform (DropIN) and the delivery of website and graphical design services to internal and external clients. The position looks to combine development, graphical design and marketing skills to perform the role.

This role is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the existing DropIN platform which serves as the basis for new platforms to be developed for external WACOSS clients. Other important deliverables for the position include website and a suite of services such involving website design and development, and the graphic design of materials such booklets, flyers and banners.

To be successful you will need experience preferably having previously worked in website development/management and/or graphic design environments, while also having marketing skills to be able to build relationships with external clients. The successful applicant must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills to pull together all aspects of the job.
