Michael Piu

CEO | St Patrick’s Community Support Centre
Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of St Patrick’s Community Support Centre Limited, and has served in executive roles with the organisation for over 10 years. Before transitioning into the community services sector, Michael worked as a lawyer in both Victoria and Western Australia.
Michael has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Courts of Victoria and Western Australia, as well as the High Court of Australia. He has also been admitted as a General Public Notary by the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Along with his extensive legal experience, Michael also has over 26 years of experience serving on boards and committees.
In 2013, Michael received a 40 under 40 Award for his work with St Patrick’s and the South West Metropolitan Partnership Forum. As the Chair of the South West Metropolitan Partnership Forum he has also received the Institute of Public Administration Australia (WA) Achievement Awards for Innovation in the Not for Profit Sector and the Best Practice Collaboration Between Government and Non-Government Organisations awards.
Michael is passionate about facing the challenges facing our sector and looking for the opportunities these challenges present. He advocates for greater sector collaboration and reframing the relationships between stakeholders, governments and community sector organisations.
