If you want to understand what the 2026–27 State Budget really means for people on low incomes\, for housing\, for community services and for the organisations holding communities together\, this is the one briefing you cannot miss. \nThe WA State Budget will be handed down on Thursday 7 May 2026. \nOn Monday 11 May\, WACOSS will hold a Budget Briefing Webinar in partnership with Shelter WA\, with special guests from the WA Department of Treasury and Finance. and Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre. \nAssistant Under Treasurer Lisa Bednarczyk will provide a clear\, accessible overview of the budget’s priorities\, pressures and implications for our sector — and importantly\, you’ll have the chance to ask her questions. \nWACOSS and Shelter WA will also share early analysis and insights from our fact sheets\, highlighting what the budget means for those most impacted by cost‑of‑living pressures and service gaps. \nWe’re deliberately leaving plenty of time for a Q&A\, so you can raise the issues that matter most to your organisation\, your clients and your community. \nThis is a free webinar for WACOSS members and Shelter WA members but is open for anyone to join. \nCost for non-members is $40 per person (paid during checkout).
