Regional Services Consultation: Impacts of the Middle East Conflict on WA Communities & Services

April 8, 2026 at 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Regional Services Consultation: For regional providers or organisations which provide services in the regions only

WACOSS is convening a state-wide conversation to hear directly from community service organisations about the emerging impacts of the war in the Middle East on vulnerable households and frontline services in Western Australia.

We know the conflict is contributing to rising cost‑of‑living pressures, increased demand for emergency relief and food security supports, and heightened stress across communities.

To ensure the State Government has an accurate and timely picture of what is unfolding across WA, WACOSS is gathering stories, data and frontline insights from community service organisations. Your experiences will directly inform the advice and intelligence we aim to provide to government.

It is WACOSS’ role to bring emerging issues and community pressures to the attention of government. Your experiences and data — especially from regional areas — will directly inform WACOSS’ intel and advocacy to the State Government as we work to secure urgent responses that relieve pressure on low‑income households and strengthen the capacity of the community services sector.

We encourage all community service organisations — large and small, metro and regional — to join these consultations to share concrete examples of what is emerging on the ground, the pressures you are facing and the supports you have identified as necessary now and in the months ahead.
