WACOSS has welcomed the opportunity to participate in the WA Government’s Service Priority Review and offer its assistance to the Review’s committee.
Representatives from WACOSS met with the committee last week to discuss how the Council can best contribute to the review process in the interest of securing the best possible outcomes for the WA community, particularly those vulnerable and disadvantaged citizens our services support.
WACOSS is advocating for a focus on opportunities for cross-government and cross-disciplinary service integration, including place-based trials, as well as a strategy for the development of the human services workforce and a transition strategy to ensure continuity of essential services.
WACOSS will be seeking opportunities to facilitate consultations with the sector to fed back information on community needs and service priorities, and will remain engaged with the review process throughout the process.
