About the Grants Program
The Western Australian Council of Social Service is administering a $2 million grants pool, funded by the WA Government, to support frontline community organisations in WA already delivering food relief services and facing rising operational costs and demand pressures as a result of current fuel security challenges.
WA’s food relief sector is experiencing increased costs due to rising global fuel prices impacting the ability to deliver essential food relief services to people experiencing food insecurity. The aim of this Grants Program is to provide additional funding to support existing food relief providers, ensuring essential food reaches communities across metropolitan, regional and remote WA.
The grants program will provide existing food relief organisations with grants of up to $10,000 (exclusive of GST) for activities aligned with the grant conditions. Funding will be determined based on the organisation’s region of service and the instances of support they expect to provide. The Grants Program will be delivered over a 12-month period and will end in April 2027.
