YACWA introduces Youth Pride Network
The Youth Council is seeking 12-25 year olds who identify as LGBTIQA+ to apply for the Youth Pride Network. The group will focus on systemic advocacy, tackling issues like homelessness, mental health, unfair laws, safety in schools, and discrimination within the community.

How family law services can help kids when parents separate - study
The Australian Institute of Family Studies are looking for young participants aged 10-17 (with their parent) to talk about their experiences. Research will contribute to the Children and Young People in Separated Families project.

Volunteer Week Grants available from Volunteering WA
Funding from Lotterywest has made available grants up to $1,000 each, to organise an event which recognises volunteers during National Volunteer Week from 21-27 May 2018. Funding might be used for event promotion, publicity, Volunteer Week Merchandise, entertainment, food, or non-alcoholic beverages.

A new handbook has been released by the AIDR, providing national guidance on principles and and practices for disaster resilience. A useful resource for community services, the handbook emphasises the importance of best practice planning tailored to the community.
