Communications Officer

WACOSS is looking for a digital Communications Officer to join our team and help grow our social media and digital presence.

This is a part-time (0.4FTE) role based in our West Leederville office.

Primary Objectives

This position oversees the development and execution of an integrated digital communications strategy to:

  • Shape the public debate and influence decision makers
  • Keep WACOSS members, the community services sector and other key stakeholders informed about WACOSS’s work and important issues affecting the sector
  • Turn WACOSS’s work into news stories, as well as engaging content suitable for all WACOSS communications channels
  • Build WACOSS’s profile as a “go-to” organisation and thought leader on social justice and social policy matters.

Senior Training and Project Officer – WA Digital Inclusion Project

The WA Digital Inclusion Project (WADIP) works to ensure all Western Australians can confidently, safely and affordably access and use digital technology. Through collaboration with communities and cross‑sector partners, the project builds capability, strengthens local solutions and removes barriers to digital participation. WADIP aims to build resilience across regional and remote communities.

The Senior Training and Project Officer – WA Digital Inclusion Project will develop and deliver training programs, support the roll-out of the next phase of the Community Resource Centre (CRC) Champions and coordinate initiatives that support digital inclusion efforts across WA.

Community Relief Outcomes Measurement Project Lead

WACOSS is seeking a Project Lead with experience in outcomes measurement, evaluation and data collection to establish and lead our Community Relief Outcomes Measurement Project. The project will build a community service sector-owned evidence base to support the Crisis and Emergency Relief (CER) sector to better collect and report on outcomes-based data to enable a greater understanding of the impact of CER and continually improve services.

The position is 2.5 days/week for six months with the possibility of extension.

Salary is $110,036 (pro Rata) +12% Superannuation.
